How to find Film Oxford
Travel & Parking
We encourage all learners to travel to us by public transport, particularly if you are local. There is bicycle parking available on site.
If it is necessary for you to travel by car, the nearest publicly accessible car parks are at Union Street or St Clements – however, St Clements has restricted access due to the congestion charge scheme, and these car parks are often very busy, particularly during the weekend, so you might also consider using the Park and Ride. For those with blue badges there are on-street parking places on Prince’s Street and other nearby side streets, but as these are primarily for residents, we cannot guarantee they will be available.
Thornhill Park and Ride is the most convenient, with the number 400 bus alighting at St Clements, around a 500 metre walk from EOCC. There are two stops in St Clement’s, the first being Glebe Street, which is the one you want. Walk down Glebe Street and through the short alleyway, and you are opposite Princes Street. East Oxford Community Centre is at the other end of it.
Travelling by coach from London, the Oxford Tube service also alights at St Clements, and also stops at Thornhill Park and Ride. Trains are also regular to and from a wide range of destinations, and the number 1/5 buses from Oxford Station and Oxford High Street alight conveniently immediately outside EOCC.
Details of how to find local accommodation can also be found on our FAQ page – filmoxford.org/faq
Once you have reached EOCC, you can find us in the newly constructed extension block on the right as you enter, on the first floor. You can reach us via the lift or the stairs, and teaching will usually take place in the studio, at the back of the building. route.
